We are a not for profit community organisation 100% run by volunteers with our modest financial income coming from membership fees, donations and the occasional hard won grant.
The MCG is a place of vibrancy, abundance, cultural diversity, friendships, knowledge, sustainable practices and fun.

” Community gardens are an ever growing phenomena in Australia and the world, unique places where people come together to grow fresh food, to learn, relax and make new friends… and no two community gardens are alike – each one is as individual as the communities and the landscapes that create them”.

AT MULLUMBIMBY COMMUNITY GARDENS YOU CAN:

• Free choice volunteer : Monday – Friday 9am -2pm sign up (supervisors will guide you what to do)

• Become a member and or rent an allotment to grow your own vegies!

• Enjoy connecting with the earth and learning how to garden!

• Volunteer to meet your Job Network Provider requirements- click here for more info

• Work in the garden to pay off a fine- click here for more info

• Buy organic seedlings :Monday – Friday 9am -2pm

• Shop at the food co-op 10am -4pm Tuesday & Friday. Sat 10am -1pm

• Children’s garden safe- play area & herb garden

• Join us for a communal lunch at 1pm for volunteers, members and general public. We’d love you to join us for the morning, help with the gardening and then share a meal with us for a small donation and enjoy the fruits of our collective labour. RECOMMENCEMENT DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED 

• Buy a Farm Garden box of freshly picked mixed vegies available on Tuesdays 9am – 2pm recommended donation $20

• Buy our Mullumbimby Community Garden Tee shirt or stickers at the office.

You are very welcome to visit the garden any day of the week during daylight hours. Please join in! Plant a seedling, water the ground (near some plants!), pull a weed or just have a wander and take in the ambience of this gentle and calming space.
Our beautiful garden has just celebrated 10 years supporting our community with fresh organic produce, events, workshops and general outdoor enjoyment for all ages.
Our slogan is “Growing Community through Gardening”.
